Hot Foil

With hot foil printing, or simply hot stamping, you can work on intensity and brightness of the colours but especially, confer glossy and metallic effects to specific parts of the design to create unique colouring and consistency. Print finishing techniques consists in applying a thin layer of metallic foil, called Hot Foil, to the label by using heat and pressure. You can let your imagination go wild in the choice of different shades available to find the one most suited to your needs. The warm tones of Ducal Gold are perfect for achieving a classic style whilst Glossy and Matt Gold are ideal for adding emphasis to certain details of the label, thanks to the golden elegance and reflective nuance. The peculiarity of Copper and its orange-red tones is recommended for labels with strong personality. Finally, with Glossy and Matte Silver, you can embellish your labels with silvery effects in a range of reflectivity to achieve a more modern feel.

Protective varnish

Protective varnish - a colourless coating applied on the final printed job - helps preserve the intense and brilliant colours of your labels from sun exposure and friction. You can choose between a high gloss finish - recommended for increasing the colour saturation and simultaneously ensuring a good degree of protection - or a matte finish to add a touch of elegance and sophistication to your label. Natural materials are coated with a water-based varnish that does not alter the colour or texture of the paper, whilst for lustrous materials, the use of a glossy protective varnish that does not alter the appearance of the material is recommended.

Lamination

Plastification, or lamination, is a print finishing technique that allows you to protect your custom label. This very thin film in plastic material is applied to the printed material to add a good degree of protection and a touch of gloss or opacity to your finished product. Lamination’s main advantage is protecting the label surface from any spillage of the product (wine, beer, and so on) that could ruin the label. You can choose between different types of finishes: glossy to increase colour saturation on the label; matte to give the label an elegant and refined look; or a soft-touch lamination to render the label velvety (like a peach), being great for beauty products.

High-Build Gloss Varnish

High-build gloss varnish is a printing process that allows you to highlight some of the design elements of the label, creating a three-dimensional effect with a glossy finish. To obtain this result, high-build gloss varnish is used to create top precision varnishing on certain printing details, be it in large format or small dimensions. This finishing is recommended for both visual and tactile embellishing, giving prominence on the label to elements such as the name of your brand.

Gloss spot varnish

Gloss Spot Varnish is a finishing technique that highlights certain details on the label and increases the saturation of colours without creating an embossed effect. The details are highlighted thanks to UV exposure, a step in the varnish application process. The result is irresistible to the touch and bright in appearance, perfect for capturing your customer’s attention.
